Task App Terms of Service

Effective date October 8, 2026

Document // terms

These Terms of Service govern use of the Task App operated by Izzy Posh LLC ("we," "us"). The App helps brands and companies ("Askers") post tasks and independent individuals or businesses ("Taskers") accept and perform them. By creating an account or using the App, you agree to these Terms and our Privacy Policy. A person using the App for a business confirms they are authorized to bind that business.

1 Eligibility and accounts

You must be at least 18 and legally able to enter into contracts. Provide accurate information, keep it current, protect your credentials, and promptly tell us about unauthorized account use. You may not transfer an account, create deceptive or duplicate accounts, or let an unregistered person perform a task under your identity. We may ask for information needed to verify an account, prevent fraud, or comply with law.

2 How the marketplace works

A Brand describes a task, including the work, location or delivery method, timing, expected result, and offered compensation. A Tasker can choose whether to apply for or accept it. Once the parties agree through the App, they are responsible for the task agreement shown in the listing and any documented changes they both accept. Each party should confirm the scope, deadline, materials, expenses, access, proof of completion, and total price before work starts.

Task App provides the marketplace and may provide communication, verification, payment, and support tools. Unless we expressly say otherwise for a particular service, we do not perform or supervise tasks and are not a party to the agreement for the work. Identity verification is a limited fraud and identity measure. It is not a background check, endorsement, or guarantee of anyone’s skills, license, insurance, reliability, or safety. Users should make their own assessment before engaging another user.

3 Responsibilities of Brands

Post only lawful tasks you have authority to request. Describe the task honestly and provide reasonably necessary instructions, materials, and safe access. Confirm any applicable qualifications or permits. Do not demand undisclosed work or change the price or scope without the Tasker’s agreement. Pay the agreed amount when it becomes due and review submitted completion evidence promptly. If a task involves a third-party platform, your instructions must comply with that platform’s rules and applicable advertising and consumer protection laws.

4 Responsibilities of Taskers

Accept only work you can lawfully and competently perform. Use your own judgment about whether, when, and how to accept a task, subject to the agreed deadline and specifications. Follow the agreed scope, communicate material problems promptly, protect confidential and personal information, and submit honest proof of completion. You are responsible for equipment, permits, licenses, insurance, and taxes applicable to your work, except where law or a separate written agreement places an obligation elsewhere. You may decline a task before acceptance; after acceptance, follow the cancellation process.

Only the registered Tasker approved for a task may perform it unless the Brand expressly agrees through the App to another verified person. A Tasker must not submit fabricated photos, receipts, location records, purchases, or work product, and must not claim a task is complete when it is not.

5 Prohibited tasks and conduct

Do not post, accept, or perform tasks involving illegal activity; fraud; harassment, discrimination, threats, or unsafe conduct; misuse of personal data; unauthorized entry or access to accounts; counterfeit or stolen goods; or work requiring a license or qualification you do not hold. Do not request or provide fake reviews, manipulated ratings, undisclosed endorsements, deceptive engagement, or conduct that violates a third-party marketplace or social platform’s rules. Do not evade App fees or controls by moving an accepted task off the App if the App expressly requires on-platform completion. We may remove content, decline a task, or suspend an account to address these issues.

6 Price, payment, and fees

A task listing and acceptance must show the agreed compensation and any material expenses. Any Task App fee, tax, payment processing charge, or payout deduction will be shown before the relevant party commits to it. We will not impose an undisclosed fee. Brands are charged in the App when they pay for a task or a subscription. Card and bank payments are processed by Intuit. Task does not store full card numbers and does not hold a wallet balance. Taskers are paid through Routable after proof of completion is approved. A payout can stay pending while proof is reviewed. Payment and tax records are kept as described in the Privacy Policy. The party legally responsible for taxes remains responsible for them, subject to any withholding or reporting law that applies to us or a payment provider.

7 Changes, cancellation, and disputes

Changes to an accepted task should be recorded in the App and agreed by both parties. A user who needs to cancel should notify the other party promptly in the App. The applicable refund, partial payment, and cancellation fee rules are https://www.jointask.app/Cancellation-Policy. Fees apply only if disclosed before acceptance.

If a task goes wrong, the parties should first communicate through the App and provide relevant evidence. Either party may contact info@jointask.app within 7 days of the scheduled completion or cancellation. We may review the available records, facilitate a resolution, pause a payout if the payment system permits, or take account action. We do not guarantee a particular result. Nothing in this section limits a right or remedy that cannot legally be waived.

8 User content and task deliverables

You keep ownership of content you submit. You give us a nonexclusive, worldwide license to host, display, transmit, and use it as needed to operate, secure, support, and improve the App. You confirm that you have the rights needed to submit it and that it does not violate another person’s rights. Do not place sensitive personal information in public listings.

Ownership and permitted use of a task deliverable should be stated in the task agreement. Unless the parties agree otherwise in writing, once the Tasker has been paid in full for a custom deliverable, the Tasker assigns to the Brand the Tasker’s rights in that deliverable to the extent legally transferable, excluding the Tasker’s pre-existing materials and third-party materials. The Tasker grants the Brand a perpetual license to any included pre-existing material needed to use the deliverable as intended. A task cannot transfer rights the Tasker does not own.

9 Privacy and confidentiality

Our Privacy Policy explains how we handle personal information. Tasker IDs and verification selfies are used for identity checks and are not kept in Task App’s system after verification; account and task information is handled separately as described there. Users may access another person’s information only to carry out an agreed task and must protect it, refrain from sharing it unnecessarily, and delete copies when no longer needed unless law requires retention. A user receiving nonpublic business information through a task must use it only for that task and keep it confidential, subject to lawful disclosure requirements.

10 Safety, reports, and account action

Use appropriate safety precautions and report suspected fraud, harm, or serious policy violations to info@jointask.app. In an emergency, contact local emergency services. We may investigate, remove tasks or content, limit features, suspend or close accounts, and cooperate with lawful requests. We may act without advance notice when reasonably necessary for safety, fraud prevention, or legal compliance. Where practical, we will explain an account action and offer a way to request review.

11 No employment relationship

Taskers choose the tasks they seek or accept and are not employees of Task App solely because they use the App. Task App does not set employment benefits or supervise how tasks are performed. A label in these Terms does not override the actual working relationship or rights under applicable law. Brands and Taskers are responsible for determining and meeting any legal obligations arising from their task arrangement.

12 App availability and limits of liability

We work to keep the App available but do not promise uninterrupted or error-free service. To the extent permitted by law, the App is provided without warranties beyond those we expressly make. We are responsible for our own acts and omissions under applicable law, but we do not guarantee a user’s identity beyond the verification process, a task’s outcome, or another user’s payment or conduct. To the extent permitted by law, neither we nor our suppliers are liable for indirect or consequential loss arising from use of the App. Our aggregate liability for claims arising from the App is limited to the greater of 20,000 USD or the fees you paid to Task App in the 12 months before the event, except where a limit is prohibited by law or for liability that cannot be excluded. This section does not limit statutory consumer rights.

13 Changes, termination, and legal terms

You may stop using the App and request account closure. We may change these Terms with notice appropriate to the change. Material changes will apply prospectively and we will provide any notice or consent required by law. If you do not accept the updated Terms, stop using the App. Provisions that by nature should continue, including accrued payments, ownership, confidentiality, dispute provisions, and limits of liability, survive termination.

These Terms are governed by the laws of United States of America, without removing mandatory protections available where you live. Courts located in California will hear disputes, except where applicable law requires another forum. Before filing a claim, please email info@jointask.app with a description of the issue so we can try to resolve it informally for 30 days. If a provision is unenforceable, the remaining provisions continue. Our failure to enforce a provision is not a waiver.
