Our promise: Fair cancellations. Protected earnings. Clear expectations.
At TASK, we understand that plans change. Our cancellation policy is designed to protect both Askers and Taskers while keeping the experience simple and transparent.
Cancelling as an Asker
- You may cancel a task at no charge before any Tasker begins work, except for cancellation fees clearly disclosed and agreed to in advance.
- If a Tasker has already started, compensation may be owed for verified completed work or approved non-refundable expenses.
- Completed tasks with valid proof remain eligible for payment, even if you cancel the remaining task spots.
- Any unused task funding will be refunded, subject to applicable fees and outstanding payment obligations.
Cancelling as a Tasker
- You may withdraw from a task before starting without losing earnings you have already earned on other tasks.
- If you withdraw after starting, payment is not guaranteed for incomplete work.
- Frequent unjustified cancellations may affect your account standing.
- You may report unsafe conditions, materially changed requirements or other serious concerns without an automatic cancellation penalty.
Deadlines and Incomplete Tasks
If a Tasker does not complete a task by the agreed deadline, the task may expire or be reassigned. The Asker may approve an extension where appropriate.
Proof and Payment Protection
Once a Tasker submits proof of completion, the Asker must review it within the applicable review period. Disagreements may be referred to TASK for resolution.
Multiple-Tasker Tasks
For tasks involving multiple Taskers, each accepted spot is handled independently. Cancelling remaining spots does not invalidate work already completed by other Taskers.
Refunds and Disputes
Refunds are issued according to the original payment method and applicable processing timelines. TASK may temporarily hold disputed amounts while reviewing submitted evidence.
TASK reserves the right to review cancellations involving fraud, unsafe conditions, prohibited activities or violations of platform rules. Any applicable platform fees and cancellation charges will be disclosed before payment or commitment.
Draft for product and legal review. Confirm payment processing, refunds, reimbursement rules, and applicable law before publishing.
